WARNING: Recent Worm on the net August 25, 2007
Posted by hiiroki in Misc.add a comment
From my observations,
I have come to notice that there is a worm in a file called MJD.zip that is transmitted through MSN Messenger.
However, something I don’t understand would be that, why people would still download it with messages like “This is a picture of me and MJD”, “This is a picture of me, you and MJD”. Kinda sounds suspicious, don’t you think?
My friend seems to have solved the problem (for now at least) by deleting the files he downloaded, afterwhich he scanned the computer, no virus nor worms were detected, so the computer is under probation now.
Will post if I manage to find a solution.
